Jaden from Chequered Tiling has over 15 years of tiling experience in both New Zealand and Australia. Having honed his craft under the mentorship of his father, his passion for the trade has inspired him to deliver only the highest quality services including a 3 year stint as a trusted tradesman on The Block NZ.
His wealth of experience and knowledge across all aspects of tiling (both commercial and residential) has led him to lay down roots in Melbourne to deliver exceptional craftsmanship that will stand the test of time.

Tile Installation
Precisely cut and laid to a high standard. We lay every kind of tile including porcelain, ceramic, mosaic, and natural stone. We have extensive experience with all shapes and sizes from subway tiles to large format tiles.

Under floor heating
If desired, we lay underfloor heating wire and use a self-levelling compound to ensure maximum safety.

Mitred Edges
We use epoxy to mitre as many edges and corners as possible to provide a seamless finish.

Step by Step Process
On Site Consultation
We attend the site to discuss your vision, assess the scope of the job, and explore tile options.
We will also measure and provide a detailed free quote.
Preparation
Once the tiles are selected we will start our preparation which involves cleaning the space and priming to ensure all of our products will stick. We will install screeds for shower bases, underfloor heating (if applicable), and levelling compund.
Waterproofing
We always waterproof to the Australian standards, using a quality two coat membrane where required.
Tile Installation
After confirming the pattern with you we will measure the space to ensure we get the best possible set out. We then precisely cut and lay your tiles to an exceptional standard.
Grouting and Silicone
The job is completed by installing the grout and sillicone, and sealing any tiles where needed. We collaborate with you when selecting grout colours to acheive the best match possible.
Clean up
We take pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe workplace throughout the entire process. Once finished we will leave the job site spotless and give your brand new tiles a polish.
